The foundation stone for the development of a new school in Hulhumale’, Phase II was laid today as part of the government's strategy to address space constraints in Hulhumale’s schools by constructing additional facilities.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu laid the foundation stone at a ceremony held at the school's construction site.
With 54 classrooms, a hall, and other facilities, the new school will be able to accommodate 1,700 students in grades 1 to 10.
The construction of this school will be executed by RCC under contractor financing. The construction is expected to start in January and be completed in 18 months.
At the ceremony, minister acknowledged the difficulties numerous students and parents have to face while traveling to schools outside Phase I. However, he assured that the new school's construction would alleviate these concerns while also providing students with a high-quality education using latest technology.
